Privacy policy
Last updated October 30, 2026. North Pole Hello is run by NYPTID ("we"). Questions or requests: santa@nyptid.com.
The short version
- Only a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over can order. Children never make an account, and we never ask a child for anything directly.
- Your child's photo is deleted as soon as their video is delivered. A recording of your child telling Santa their wishes is deleted as soon as it has been turned into text.
- Names, wishes, good deeds and the videos themselves are deleted 45 days after the last video in your order is delivered, or sooner when you ask.
- Nothing on this site is advertised to children, we do not sell anyone's information, and we do not use your child's details for anything except your order.
Parental consent (COPPA)
The US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act protects children under 13. Everything about a child on this site is given to us by their parent or guardian, who confirms they are the parent or guardian and pays with a card. That payment is part of how we confirm a parent is giving consent. If we learn that information about a child was given without a parent's consent, we delete it.
What we collect and why
- From the parent: email address, and for Santa Handles Christmas a delivery name, address and phone number. Used to send the video and updates, and to have gifts delivered.
- About each child, from the parent: first name and how it is said, age, 2 or 3 good deeds, the wish list, an optional photo, and optionally a short voice recording of the child telling Santa their wishes, made on the parent's device. Used only to write Santa's message, make the video and choose gifts.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Who helps us make the video
- Santa's words are written by an AI language model (through OpenRouter or Anthropic) from the first name, age, deeds and wishes you give.
- The video is generated by Higgsfield's AI video service from Santa's words and a picture of Santa. Your child's photo is never sent to it: the Nice List with the photo is made on our own servers.
- A recording is turned into text by a speech to text service (through OpenRouter or fal) and then deleted.
- For Santa Handles Christmas, gifts are bought through Rye's checkout service from the stores they come from (for example Best Buy, Mattel or Melissa and Doug). They receive the parent's name, delivery address, phone and email, never anything about the child.
- Emails are sent through our own mail server or Resend.
These services may only use the information to do this work for us.
How long we keep things
- Photo: deleted when the video is delivered.
- Voice recording: deleted right after it is turned into text.
- Names, deeds, wishes, scripts and videos: deleted 45 days after the last delivery of your order. Orders that are never paid are deleted after 3 days.
- Payment and order records (amounts, dates, the parent's email) are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
A parent can review what we hold about their child, ask us to stop using it, and have it deleted at any time. The order page has a button that deletes your children's details at once, or email santa@nyptid.com. Video links are private links; anyone you share a link with can watch that video until it is deleted.
Advertising
We advertise to adults on Google Search. We do not show ads to children, do not run ads on this site, and do not use children's information for advertising or profiling. The Google Ads tag on our pages measures whether an ad led to an order; it is not used on the private order or video pages beyond recording that an order was paid.
Security
Data is kept on our own servers, reached only over encrypted connections. Order and video pages use long random links that are not listed or searchable.
